Belonging to the electric centers of the North of Brazil (ELETROBRÁS/ELETRONORTE), the hydropower plante of Curuá-Una was the first implanted at the Brazilian Amazon. In this project, various works were developed involving surveys and analisys of the physical, biotic and socioeconomic scope, highlighting the unusual feature of the impact evaluation model, designed by Brasilencorp, that focused in the fact that the plant was implanted more than thirty and five years ago.
